Video Storytelling For impact

Welcome Home Series:

A social media series presented in short form video celebrating individuals transitioning into permanent housing after experiencing homelessness. This series was created to demonstrate organizational impact, increase stakeholder engagement, and spotlight specific funding needs.

Ladies and gentlemen…Veronica is home! 🏡💙

We are thrilled for Veronica as she finally has a place to call home after experiencing homelessness for 10 years!

Veronica is a beautiful mom to several grown children from Whittier, CA. We first met her in 2021 while she was in sober living at Little House. Although she was in a tough situation, she never gave up and sought to serve others and improve her life skills.

While at Little House, she served her community and volunteered at Margaret’s House, a hospitality home managed by KCB for families transitioning out of homelessness. She graduated and completed the program at Little House soon after.

Veronica is excited to have a place to herself. She shares at the end of this video, “I have three locks and my keys! Thank you so much! Thank you Kingdom Causes!”

‼️ Help us bring our recently housed neighbors, like Elizabeth, home by giving to the Welcome Home Fund!

KCB is typically able to use local grant funds to help with the high costs of moving, but due to recent changes in our grants, we are almost out of those funds and are in URGENT need of funding for move-ins.

Please consider giving now on Instagram or visit www.bit.ly/kcb-fund to learn more and give on our campaign page. All donations are tax-deductible and will be used for our recently housed neighbors’ move-in expenses only. Thanks for your support!

Welcome home, Michelle! 🏡💙

We are very happy to see Michelle at home in her new place after experiencing homelessness for the past seven years, which began when her husband tragically passed away in a traffic accident, and she was not able to cover the rent on her own.

These past seven years have presented many challenges for Michelle, but despite all she has endured, she has a positive outlook on her life and continues to seek ways to serve her community. She currently volunteers at the food pantry at @calvarybellflower and helps at @littlehousebellflower.

Michelle’s tran
sition into housing has thankfully been going well. She shares that she immediately felt at home when she cut a cantaloupe for the first time in her kitchen. She also loves lighting candles to make her home feel more cozy, and she looks forward to Christmas time when she can get a small Christmas tree for her place.

Michelle’s journey home was largely due to the resources she leveraged and the community connections she made. You can help bring our neighbors, like Michelle, home by giving to the Welcome Home Fund, which covers move-in costs, like first month’s rent, security deposit, furniture, etc. Give now on Instagram or visit our campaign page at www.bit.ly/kcb-fund.

Welcome Home, Linda! 🏠💙

A couple weeks ago we welcomed Linda home to her apartment in Norwalk! It was special to celebrate with Linda and see her adjusting well to her new living space after experiencing homelessness.

Read more about Linda’s story at the link in our bio or visit www.kcbellflower.org/blog/welcome-home-linda.

There is a special kind of joy that comes with finding a place to call home. 🏠❤️

It’s a feeling of security, comfort, and the start of a new chapter in one’s life. We are beyond excited that this is now true for Heriberto!

You can read about his journey to housing by visiting www.kcbellflower.org/blog and while you’re there, sign up for the KCBeat to receive a weekly word of hope directly to your inbox. 💌

Today this beautiful family moved out of Margaret’s House, our hospitality home for families in transition, and moved into their new home! 🏠💙

Please join us in prayer over the family as they settle into their new place. 🙏
