Adventures in Mendocino and Oakland

This fun weekend trip to Northern California began with a text from one of my best friends, Jazz, who suggested we go on a camping trip. Of course I took her up on it, and a couple weekends later we were exploring Mendocino county. :)

Skunk Train

Our first stop was the Skunk Train where we spent a couple hours exploring the Redwoods on a rail bike!

Jug Handle creek farm

It ended up being a blessing that all the state camp sites were either booked or closed, because it led us to finding this great private campground on Hipcamp that was walking distance to the beach and had several hiking trails nearby.

Jug Handle State Natural reserve

The next morning we walked over to the Jug Handle State Natural Reserve and took some time to enjoy the views from the cliffs.

Main Street in Mendocino

We ended our time in Mendocino walking around Main Street and exploring the shops.

Oakland

I couldn’t leave without hanging out with one of my favorite people, Soy! Jazz and I met up with her in Oakland before my flight left. It was so nice catching up!
